I’ve been invited to my sister’s nursery to apply mehndi on the kids. These kids are 3 to 4 years old! Most of them are white, so won’t have seen mehndi before. Also there will also be boys. Anyone have any ideas on what designs to do? I was just thinking maybe writing their names and then a few flowers. But should I apply to the boys and if so what sort of designs should I do on them?

You can do their names, flowers, pics of animals, even superhero symbols, etc. I used to do the Harry Potter lightning bolt for students, but these kids may be too young to know that.

flowers, stars, sun, car, butterfly, their names, animals etc.
Apply to who ever wants, keep it simple like star on hand and car on the other.

But some guppies kept saying mehndi is haram in Halloween thread.

Mehendi parties not henna the mehendi itself. And I didn’t say it was haram, I was just saying that mehendi celebrations/events are borrowed from other cultures. Now if someone else said it’s haram, then I dunno. I just came to clarify myself.

I think you should apply mehndi to them .. maybe do like a simple leaf design .. I work in a school and its 98% white .. Im the only asian who works there .. a few weeks ago the head teacher asked me to apply mehndi on the children .. I love applying mehndi even though I dont think Im really good at it .. still learning .. on the girls I applied a simple flower and on the boys that wanted same I did the flower If not a applied I really simple leaf design which they seemed to really like .. they only kept it on for 10-15 mins .. they seemed so proud of themselves and liked the mehndi stain

I have to tell you a little boy came to me and said I dont want a flower I want something else so I did the leaf design .. he seemed really happy with it and went to sit with the rest who were trying to keep their hand straight waiting for it to dry .. he asked the girls what have you got on your hand and the girls replied a flower and that little boy said Ive got a slug on my hand!!! lol I couldnt stop laughing!!! children eh what they like … love them!!! he made my day
