I’m looking for ideas for favors for the boys who will be attending my mehndi. I’m don’t want to do edible favors since I’m doing that for the wedding (jordan almonds). I just want to give small trinkets that they can use during the event and later on they can keep it if they want to, or throw away. For the girls, I’ll just stick to yellow and green glass bangles but I can’t think of any inexpensive favors for the men/boys. Please help!

Re: Mehndi/Mayoun favors for boys
I guess I should clarify. the favors that I’m giving out at the mehndi is only for the boy’s side guests. I would like to give them something when we are welcoming them!
I think I’ll go with some cute keychains for the guys and bangles for the girls.
For the wedding, I’m giving out the traditional almonds and dried dates favors to all the guests in cute little boxes. The best way would probably be to just place a favor box on each place setting when dinner is being served.
Re: Mehndi/Mayoun favors for boys
^ The "traditional almonds and dried dates favors" are called bidh and this is normally given out by the guy's side after the nikkah has taken place, so just be sure you don't end up duplicating.

This it sounds like a bidh ... unless you had ur nikkah already some other day and the bidh was taken care of then .. if u give it out now .. it wont be duplicating ...
Re: Mehndi/Mayoun favors for boys
My fiance's family will be bringing the dried dates on the day of the nikkah. The favors will be given on the baraat/rukhsati dinner the following day.

One of my relatives gave out boxes with baloshayees in them .. name of a big sweet ... dono whats it called in english ... another one had pouches of lil goodies ... like chocolates and stuff.

I've been researching on it. I think I'll buy them from Costco or sth. Getting them specially made would be over my budget!

Re: Mehndi/Mayoun favors for boys
A really thoughtful favor that I have seen is this: a small chocolate nestled in a mesh bag with a tag that said something like this - An amount in your name has been donated to the Pakistani Flood Relief Fund by the Bride & Groom in attempts of starting their marriage on the right foot (obv it wasn't these exact words, but something along these lines, haha)
-You can choose a charity that's close to your heart.. But just an idea that I liked! And don't worry about people claiming you're showing off - those who have to say such things will do it regardless!
