no, and besides, sometimes the nikkah is also with the mehndi so the "larka" has to be there :p

It depends upon the family. Sometimes a joint function is held where expenses are shared by bother parties but the dulha, dulhan don't get to see each other. They have separate entrances and rasams. Sometimes the couple is seated together for the rasams.

yeah.. because for my mehndi.. only the females from his family are coming and my mother said.. only the mother and sister should come as they wanted to get the bari...rasams!!

^Yup, that's the norm in many families. The guy can have a separate mayoun and Mehndi where you relatives can go to do the rasams.
