I have seen brides wear red - but rarely, does someone has nice pictures of a nice red + some color mehndi dress - plus I want to wear something like that because I am having my nikkah the same day too!
What do you think? to red or not to red?

One of my friends wore red and green on her mehndi, cos she wore pink/magenta on her wedding day. It looked really nice! Plus she had her nikkah on the mehndi day too.

I guess it depends on what colour you’re wearing on the wedding day too - she wore a simple gharara type red and green outfit cos it was completely different from the wedding day one

yes that is what is happening - the general perception of red is like omg too bridal for mehndi but id have gota work on it so my in laws were tripping about it as they want me to look simpler on the mehndi
- the reception dress will be done in a light color in pinks or peaches or greens or beiges ... not confirmed yet.

u can get a idea from this not a very clear pic but the bride is i think wearing her mum or someones wedding gharara n amde yellow n red shirt n its looking nice

so im planning mustard dupatta with red shirt and a colorful banarsi bottom ... the shirt will have gota work and colorful accents on it with dabka kora work.

^ the outfit sounds fab lady! the only thing is put mustard against your face to make sure the shade doesn't wash you out when the dupatta is draped on your head. mustard can be tricky.

thanks babes .. since ima have my nikkah same day .. i dont mind looking a bit stronger bridal ... in fact ill get a heavy dupatta just for a ghonghat moment during the nikkah which i will later take off for the mehndi and yes iv got my shirt and dupatta finalized .. will post pictures when i receive it ...

also, you should have a stronger look on mehndi since its your nikkah day too.. gone are the days when brides were in a simplest yellow dress on mehndis.. now we can have a simpler look on dholkis/maiyuns and still rock mehndis ;)

Asak everyone, There's this mehndi bride I saw on various FB groups who did a yellow&red combo for her mehendi, she looked very Beautifull MashaAllah,I"m searching for her pics coz I want to have a look at her kaam on the neckline....I'm trying to post the pics I have but I dnt know how to :( For reference the bride wears her necklace as a jhoomar and is wearing a red dupatta+farshi gharara witha train, her kameez is yellow and ghoonghat is hot pink with moti lace edging.....believe she looks very elegant despite all those colours :)

iv seen this bride a long time ago and yess she did come to my mind when i was like heck ill go for it .. recently irfan posted this as well which gave me hope
