Yeah I've made several for a friends wedding in August..and they're transparent =) I've attached bells at all four corners though...I still need to get the "diya's" from Pak.

I really like the idea of floating shelves. Gina can you post some pictures of floating shelves that you have made or other pictures that capture the same idea

hey does anyone know where we can get mehndi supplies...thaals,matkas,pots etc...i have tons of battery operated candles...so no diyas....has anyone ordered stuff online...??
thanks guys!
i went to pakistan for my shopping (got back a week ago) went to ichra and got all the mehndi stuff, it was so much cheaper.. im not sure about ordering online you will obviously have to look at wholesalers for cheaper prices
if you dont mind could you please tell me where did u get battery operated candles from??
also at the girls mehndi do we (the girls side) have to prepare taals etc? dont the boys side bring it to the mehndi? (we're having seperate mehndis) the taals we bought are for my family to take it to his mehndi- im confused :s
hi aishii..
i got the candles from 100candles.com ---- they have some nice stuff...
since we are having a joint mehndi...everyones bringing the thals...and we are all doing the stuff together....
i am not sure how the separate mehndi works...i think what you said sounds right...since you will be coming with your family..you ll bring your thaals with you..
same goes for the guys side... :)
