Throw on some shalvar qameezes and this could just as easily be in Lahore or Srinagar. More evidence showing that our mehndis AREN’T borrowed from Hindus/Indians.

Im so sick and tired of hearing abt how mehndi is not islamic (came from Hindu's) and how they refuse to let their girls participate in something such a festive ceremony!
Malaysians and Indonesians have beautiful mehndi cermemonies and even a Mandi Lular ceremony (much like our Mayoon's) where the bride is made pretty by a rice flour, turmeric and yogurt paste
