I have already explained to you the situation during Ghaznavi’s time.Alexander’s time and Ghaznavi’s time ,both were centuries apart.So there is no need of any comparison.

Well in that case, the situation was not good during Mughal era when the Maratha decoit started looitng the Mughal cities of India under Mughal Empire… what is true for Ghaznavi should be true for Marathas… or you have decided to give them some relief as they are your heroes

Muslims did rule in India but did rule India completely is a big mistake .Even during Aurangazib(in whose time the Mughal empire reached its ripe stage)it did not have impact on Southern side much.

Southern India was never touched by most of the invaders, apparently it was only Brits who started from the South, anyway are you considering Maisoor and Hyderabad as part of Northern India… Even Alexander the great never looked at that part, as i have stated earlier, India has never been united in its current state, there was always countries and states, Raja and Maha Rajas…

Your claim abt India was never a country can be sold to folks in your level.In Hindu puranas and manuscripts there are enough and enough references abt Bharatkhanda' or Bharatvarsha’ which is evident tht it had stood as a great region ,even in very larger dimensions ,than now.Citing the same argument only,Muslim League had demanded for Pakistan but the ill prepared ,short sighted Congress leaders could not envisage the danger in it.

Well that is strange that you are changing your stance and that is again in the same thread, little while ago, you where talking about Alexander, have you forgetton the stuff that Alexander had to fight with different armies in sub-continent, and finally he declared the Raja of Jehlum as the TOP RAJA and his Embassidor… have you for gotten the part where Mehmood Ghaznavi faced different armies of different states and defeated them all.. have you forgotten the fact that Even Mughals fought with different states, making them their part or having them pay the Annual TAX… yes it was Ashok who Joined India, but again his kingdom never had complete india.. so you better start taking history lessons, otherwise you will be issue statements which may contradicts your own claims…

rebels disrupted Muslim rule?Dude ,there have been great uprising against Muslim rule all the time in India.If not against Muslims in India but against invaders.Moreover Maratas had conquered and ruled a great portion of India and even controlled Lahore.By that time the Mughal empire had been dimnished in to nothing.

So there has been great uprising and it took Hindus 1000 years to get rid of Muslims from Delhi.. this is what you are telling me??? Yes and then Maratha Empire vaporized into the air…

Your statement abt Abdali does not stand.It is as good as had Sadasiva Rao had been alive in the war,the history of the sub continent would have been different!!!

Well it does carry weight look at from different prespective, Abdali has broken the back of Marathas, this created a power vacum, Abdali could have started his own dynasty in India, same as baber did and prior to him Lodhis did… and Abdalies sure has the power to defeat the European forces, on the other hand, if Maratha had won the war, the result might have been the same, the Maratha could have continued with their rule hence no vaccum for English to slip in, if either of that had happend, we might be communicating in different language…if you know what i mean..

Ongoing movement against Christians?I think you are making the entire things black.There is no anti Christian movement in India and if you are trying to say abt the kandamal violence,that was a sad one but Indian government has taken adequate measures to countersuch instances in future.recently home min.Mr.Chidambaram apologized for it. Can u expect such behaviour from any politician in Pakistan?,a place where Mr.Jinnah said minorities would have equal rights.

We do not kill minorities in the manner India does, hence we do not have to issue the appologies on these issue… remember appology is for the mistake, we don’t do it, we don’t have to apologize, anyway, you think the apology will heals the wounds of thousands of people , will it bring back the ones you have lost their lives??? may be according to hindu religion.. but not according to Christain and Muslims…

You need not tell us abt Sikhs and Christians in India.Sikhs and Christians live in India peacefully .Our P.M is a Sikh.Our Defence Minister is Christian by name(though he is anatheist).Are you trying to compare India wih Pakistan?
Better look at the minorities in Pakistan.Do not force me to give you the countless atrocities done against them.this is not the thread for that.But since you have shown a courage to close your eyes on to things in Pakistan,I think it’s better for me to tell you that minorities in Pakistan live in a shadow of fear and anxiety.Numerous attacks against Hindus Christians and Sikhs have been reported.Illegeal encroachments of Hindu temples are not isolated incidents.Ahmediyas are not even considered as Muslims.There are ongoing strifes between Sunnis and Shias.I do not want to mention the countless problems occuring in pakistan .Lets discuss them in some other thread.

Actually i saw that, Golden Temple of Sikhs ( which is like Makkah and Madina for Sikhs) was raided and destroyed… Babri Mosque was destroyed and people who have done it are admitting it openly and are proud of it.. only these two incidents do tell us that how well Muslims and Sikhs are living in India.. i need not to say about those you are suppressed and have no voice.. yet you hear them every now and then…

Sunnis and Shia, is totally different story, the rift between the two cults are 1400 year old, and is normally fumed by the 3rd parties, yet it is common practise to have family relationship between the two cults…

size of the Portugese and French..yes I will compare them with Mughals.What was the size of the territories Mughals handled after Aurangazib?Do u have any idea?Mughals had become like any ordinary land lords after Aurangazib.They had been constantly attacked,defeated and cleared by many .

It is like in 90s when taliban controlled 70% of Afghanistan, yet the world recognized the govt of Kabul only, it is when Kabul was conquered by Talibs, yes maratha looted delhi many times, but they were never able to establish their govt on Delhi… so Legally they were decoits…

I have mentioned abt Jews in my earlier threads.How does it matter being or not being Jew here? I can’t blame you for this question.But having lived in India for many years,I know the pulse of this country.We do not give preference to religion anywhere.This is not the case with we hindus Sikhs and Christians alone but Muslims also.

My point is, what jews had to do with the discussion at hand… you have also mentioned your trip to Dubai in your earlier threads, should we discuss that as well??? please be logical, if this is your logic, then i guess i am wasting my time and bits of GS.

Just look at the fate of Khalistan and how effectively we cleared it off.Kashmir insurgency is meeting it’s ends now.India has always been a land of diversity and complexities.Each state has got its own tradition and culture.This has been there for centuries.But there is one feeling that binds all these states,places and people together.That’s is it’s India and we are Indians.The concerted attempts to divide Indians are also failing pathetically now and one such example is the deserving whip given to Mr.Musharaff by Delhi Imam. :hehe:

Musharaf is the most hated figure head in Pakistan, he dared not to walk in the streets on London, as he may create a record for the man have hiited by the most number of shoes…

Kashmir has not been your part from last 60 years, how can it be yor part now, its only 8 months back when after a demonstration by almost half a million kashmiries in IOK raised the subject in Indian Media that if this is the time to set Kashmiri free, strangely enough that debate was over-lapped by Mumbai Attacks…
