The reading/recitation of Quran can not be a biddah…but the biddah part (from what i have heard) is…when people recite quran x number of times..or recite yaseen x number of times…and then ‘bakhsh’ it to someone…like they say “hum ne 5 quran bakhshay hain to so and so”… that part is what people say is biddah…because the reward of recitation will only go to the reciters and it can not be transferred to the person to whom it is supposedly ‘transferred’…
