usually in our family old aunties says u should give ur mehendi mayon jora to some poor or massi once u wore at your functions ..its a bad omen to keep in home or wear it again?

Thts what i heard too..... but i blv it was cz they had simple cotton ka joda at that time. Nowadays we have these heavy kaam walay joday which for sure we wont give away after wearing them once....
Now we give away the peelay joday, that dulhan wears during the day time of the wedding days.

Yea we have that in our family too. Except its the mayoun ka joda that has to be simple plain cotton and that is given away. The Mehndi joda can be fancy.

Well, I had a lightly worked lehnga and wore it to someone else's mayoon after shaadi.

we have the same tradition in our family. i gave away my mayoun dress and loved my mehndi dress too much to part with it so kept that one.

yeah now days mehendi joras are quite heavy and fancy and expensive ...but i wonder if anyone ever wear it again....
and i dont understand why this jora give away tradition...because in our religion there is no mayon mehendi concept so keeping it or give away is nothing...when no mehendi mayon is in our religion then badomen is out of question..?
