yeah Jagjit is also great. What do you think about the female singing partner he always sings with, um i think her name is Chitra Singh? Is that his wife, by the way?
It’s the ‘longing’ in a singer’s voice that gets to me. If he can convey the ‘dukh’ and the longing for his beloved, then i’ll listen to his stuff forever. i think that’s what Mehdi Hassan does for me… you just understand the sadness in his voice.
