My dada abu died an year back and yesterday, for the first time ever, i saw him in my dream. I am worried a little aaj kal, and aksar when im praying i remember him, that “agar dada abu hotay to unhain dua ka kehty”. He was mashAllah a very pious man and we used to ask him to pray whenever something used to go wrong or even for the results and small things in life
He used to tel us wazeefas, used to pray for us, even telling him the problem used to make us contented psychologically. It does not mean that we dont/dint used to make duas to Allah taa’aalah ourselves. Its just that theres always one elderly figure in the family whom u feel that u can always look upto. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat Ameen.
Last night i saw him in my dream. I was worried about the issue im facing and he came to me, smiled and comforted me ke kuch nahi hota, inshAllah Allah sab theek kar dainge, like he usually used to do. I woke up after that with a big smile. Just watching him in my dream was such a pleasant feeling! I hope that it wasnt just my subconscious playing games (which obviously is in most of the dreams
) and he actually came to comfort me!
My question is, according to shariah, is there any logic behind seeing the marhoom in the dream? Do they actually come to see us or its just all in our subconscious?
JazaakAllah!

**i'm sorry to hear the demise of ur dada jan...may Allah bless his soul and place him in janna and grant you and your family the strength to bear the pain. aameen
as far as Islam is concerned, there is no concept of rooH wandering around and come to visit his home or relatives. you see them in your dream because you love them and that's what your brain is imagining things. kam se kam meraa to yehii iimaan hai k rooH have their own things to deal with in their graves.**
