meetha paratha

hello everyone ,
ive just joined this group, and its my first time writing. as i love cooking i thought maybe i could share a simple recipe of meetha paratha. especially when its getting colder one gets those pangs for something sweet.

2 cups wheat flour,
2 tablsp oil
1 teasp salt
butter or margarine
sugar

put the salt and oil in flour and knead it with enough water to form a soft dough. leave for about 1/2 hour.
then make four to five portions and form into peras or balls.
take one pera and flatten and roll out .
do not make too thin .
then layer the rolled out roti with butter or margarine and sprinke about 2 to 3 tablesp sugar evenly.
fold it like for ordinary paratha whether you like it square or round or triangle and roll it out again.
just be careful it does not tear.
heat tawa and add aafew drops of oil and cook at medium heat . put little butter and when its red and crispy take off from tawa and repeat process for next roti.

Re: meetha paratha

Mmmmmmm... My favorite.
My dad used to make me this when I was small. I havent made it for ages but when I do I usually use caster sugar its much easier.
