Isn't dancing people called in typical Punjabi as 'Kanjar' or 'Kanjri'

Bhaand are a bit different, they used to visit marriages and do juggat baazi. Mirasi, I am not really sure now as in my town there used to be some mirasi, and I am sure they are not related with dancing/singing now. Maybe before they might have been part of that industry.

Kanjri is not equal to Tawaif as misconstrued now. If it was so, why would have Bulleh Shah siad ‘Nach Nach ke yaar manawa ga, Pawen kanjri bunena pei jawe’. Kanjri is only dancing girl
