i wash watching a programme called rush 2 on channel 4 (england, u.k.) about deaf people and their culture and an actress by the name of maya (meera shastri) raised a brilliant point.
she was having an argument with a man who said that he would take his deaf sister back to india from england and have her married to
someone who ain’t deaf.
maya protested not take her sis to india but let her study with her to improve her level of education which was already down, but he disagreed and said marriage and kids was what she needed not education.
maya said,on the first night (suhaag raat) it would be rape not lawful/matrimonial sex as both couple are ajnabee to each other.
isn’t this just SOOOOO TRUE, GO MAYA GO… KYA SENTENCE HAI.
