Case against Meera, four family members registered
LAHORE: ‘Defense A’ police station Thursday has registered case, under Sections 380 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), against Meera and her four family members on the complaint of Meera’s alleged spouse Ateeq-ur-Rehman, Geo news reported from Lahore.
According to details, Ateeq-ur-Rehman, a resident of Lahore, filed four days ago a complaint in ‘Defense A’ police station, saying that he bought Meera a Bungalow, which was housed with local and international household goods worth of Rs6 million, which Meera, her brother Ahsen and her mother stole.
Following the complaint, police officials consulted with higher authorities but they had refused to register case declaring that the action would be taken after investigation, sources said.
Later, on Thursday night after three-day long preliminary investigation, higher police officials ordered to register case against Meera and her four family members on complaint of complainant Ateeq-ur-Rehman, sources concluded.
Now, police authorities in ‘Defense A’ police station here in Lahore on Thursday-Friday night, accepting complaint abiding by the orders of top police officials, have registered case under Sections 380 and 506 of PPC while the case is 710/9, police sources added.
