There was nothing historic about her kiss. Frankly, if it wasn't for this controversy, nobody would have watch this movie. Everyone who saw the movie from people to critcs called her ordinary or horrible with her acting. If you look at the news paper she created the controversy. She went to India on her own like any other artist from NFAK, Ali Haider, Junoon and others. When they go, they represent Pakistan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan did concerts and work in the Indian Movies as a music director. How many controversies did we see there? How many Pakistani men were applaud? When Late Nusrat was asked by Israelis to perfrom in their country he rejected. He could have gone there and performed, made some big dollars but he knew that he is not only representing him or his music but entire Pakistan, like an Ambassador.
Meera created this controversy on her known like saying that she fears she'll be killed. After that we saw her gave other ridiculous statements like 'She is better than Aish' or 'Sexier' than her. To tell you the truth she knew after landing in India that there is not much for her and that's why she resort to these tactics. Now how many Pakistani men are calling for her death? Zero, most of them don't even care about it. Also, if you really ask Pakistani women, they don't want to be represented like this. The point is when you go overseas as an artist, politician and sports personality, you are representing our country and its people. Go on your own if you want but please don't say things like I am doing this for Pakistan or that for Pakistan. Just say, want to make big bucks....that'll be more clear.

Yes. This reminds me of Chinese actress going to Japan and making movies there the Chinese hate it. I think this kind of stuff needs to stop, women of different cultures and different religions should not play love roles in movies. especially women most of the people in the region are fundamentals, and very conservative.
There would not have been a problem is the actor was a Muslim I don't think.

umm i saw the movie and there was no kiss in the movie.
i find old movies with ladies talking in a voice like they are about to have an orgasm... "suniyaaaaaaaaaaaay, hai allaaaaaaaaaaaaah, aisaaaaaay naaaaa keeejiaaaaay" more disturbing.
and some punjabi heroines put black honeys to shame when it comes to shakkin that thang.....

Okay, this Omar Quraishi guy is a bit of an idiot...if indeed the ministry or other govt. officials acted consistently in censoring, he would be the first to spasm. So..unh...maybe he should be careful what he wishes for (or implies)...
And if anything, it's these liberati writing in ENGLISH who have pretenses of speaking for the masses...not really the MMA...

^^ we shouldnt be concerned with "what might have been if so and so had happened" but how things really are. and the reality is that the officials do not consistently censor. I think it is safe for him to criticize then.

^Well, I'm not so sure...if one is arguing from the point of a principled stance (which always is a hypothetical...the world and the people in it are imperfect), then it's just yet another hypocrisy that he's criticizing the censors for being inconsistent, whereas if he were sincere in his demands for consistency...his tune would definitely change...
In a country like Pakistan, inconsistency means sqaut because it's universal.

btw french kissing in ne movie is discouraged if the possible camera angles can be obtained to show so, its unhygienic and also not sporty. Even in xxx movies they apply antifungal, antigermal medicines to posterior and anterior body parts before getting personal to aviod STD's.
