mahjabeen ali bux was her real name...and yes she was one of the finest actresses ( albeit she excelled in gloomy picturisations only)

Actually, in Pakeeza she looked terrible in some of the scenes, she completed the movie and died straight after .......i think. Apparently we hear that she was an alcoholic.

What I heard is that she had a brain hemorrage while filming Pakeeza. They had to use a body double in some parts of the movie...that is what I heard. Madhubala was an alcoholic...not sure about Meena Kumari though. :)

i always thought she was very beautiful Mashallah,
and it is true she was an alcoholic and that really affected her health.
