Is it true that an hour of meditation is equal to several hours of sleep?
Anyone who meditates here can tell us?

Re: Meditation
I can't even do 2 minutes of meditation. Sitting still and "focusing on my breathing" makes my thoughts race and I get anxious.
Cleaning helps :D or punching a boxing bag
Re: Meditation
meditation does nothing except for messing up with your head and making your super anxious
I would rather sleep during that hour than meditate ..
Re: Meditation
goraa log meditation kartaa hai to zaroor koii baat to hogii na is meN! :D
Re: Meditation
All the people I know who "meditate" are phonies. They make a show of it.
Watching Misbab bat may just be the best meditation.

I never meditate either but heard it from a colleague mentioning about it.
Cannot beat cleaning at all. :D :D
Re: Meditation

yoga is an Indian thing [Buddhists] included] but a vast majority of gora people do that. :)
Re: Meditation
Dozing off is my meditation. Why sit when u can lie down and have a pyari si sleep. Wese i did try meditating once but i dozed off, so if relaxed sleep was the target then woohoo i kinda achieved it. How about that @Lilly.
Re: Meditation
That’s true, lie when you can! No point sitting to relax after sitting all day on chair.
I already get tired of sitting. ![]()
The only day i can take nap is Sunday and i try my best to must take it so i can prepare myself for rest of the week.
Meditation does not work for me either. I nap with music, with mellow tunes, and wake up naturally after 15 to 20 minutes. For us folks, namaz would be better since that is what we were taught.
Other ways I like to reduce stress is to just dance it out or listen to loud music while cleaning or cooking. Of course, it always helps to talk out your problems over a meal with a friend. Lastly, just burn stress away with exercise.
