I wanted to start this meditation course. It’s purely meditation, nothing about Buddhism. Would it be haram?
Cheers.

Do you pray 5 times a day?
Do you help others in need?
Are you doing your duty as a Muslim (i.e. Dawaa)
Do you have a good grasp of Tauheed?

Re: meditation: to do or not to do
even if you dont pray 5 times a day
even if you dont always help others in need
even if you dont have a good grasp of tauheed
even if all of the above were the case, if you simply start a meditation course which helps your fellow human beings, i dont see how god(allah/jesus/buddha/XYZ) should have a problem with it.
seriously, do you think god cares so much as to the small harmless things every individual does in his daily lives to judge him by that and to excuse the bigger unholy scoundrels and criminals who blow up buildings in the name of that very god??
smart up, live strong, be happy and enjoy life while you still have it.
Re: meditation: to do or not to do
The Prophet(sm.) used to meditate a lot..if it helps you getting closer to Allah and in fulfilling your Farz I'd say go for it..
Re: meditation: to do or not to do
Do you know the method of Prophet(saw)'s meditation?with ref
Re: meditation: to do or not to do

Then that would make me ignorant
All we can do is guide - its up to them to take heed or not.
