Conference Committee strongly encourages authors to submit a full paper describing their work for inclusion in the conference proceedings. However, Conference Committee realizes this may not be possible for some individuals (e.g. industry participants) so we will include a PowerPoint presentation in place of the paper when needed.
Personally, I can’t imagine a more appropriate place for this initiative than the city of Madinah, which was once a beacon of knowledge for the world, with your input and Allah’s blessings we can once again become the catalyst for a change, for a Renaissance and Revival of the Muslim Ummah—InshaAllah.
While we welcome your submission may I suggest that you keep in mind the unique objectives for this meeting, and ask yourself the following key question—What can the KEC planners take away from my presentation which they can develop and incorporate in the planned KEC.
This meeting is different in that you will be leaving your ideas/suggestions which InshaAllah will be incorporated into the KEC planning agenda, an example from health care track, which I am more familiar with, may provide some clarity:
We have abundant technology available for diagnosis and treatment, how best to utilize these, for example at both beginning and end of life we can apply technology for the benefit or harm of individuals, how do we go about setting the guidelines in situations of in vitro fertilization, surrogacy, transplantation or use of ventilators, dialysis etc in hopelessly ill patients, can KEC become a central location for the Muslim ummah seeking guidance for such difficult issues—this is just one example and I am sure you can think of many others in your areas of experience.
In short this gathering is a brain storming and net working get together, at the completion we will have identified some key projects in the various tracks outlined which will be further developed by KEC.
For those who wish to participate without presenting you are most welcome just let us know by completing the appropriate registration.
Insha Allah we will also facilitate the arrangements Umrah, if you like to join the group for Umrah kindly let us know – This conference has been sponsored by several leading professional groups listed below and we look forward to welcoming you and your participation at the meeting.
