So what ya’ll think of this outing for kids aged under 10? Any good/bad experiences?

Funguy, I went to something similar - the Dixie stampede and the boys LOVED it. Medeivaltimes is a bit different but Ithink these are things that kids just really like.

We went to Arabian Knights. Totally worth it the dinner service while you watch the show! It was a good experience.

I don't know about kids, but I totally want to go there. I'm so obsessed with that kind of stuff.
Do people go in costume?
I went to the one outside of Chicago and it was very, very cool. It's very family oriented and a lot of fun for kids (as well as adults!). The souvenirs are overpriced, but for the experience may be worth it. The show is on horseback, with real (albeit rehearsed), jousting.

Me too!! You are probably the only person I know, other than me, who has read all the books by Sharon Kay Penman. 
Medieval stuff is fantastic. I think you should take the kids Funguy. They will really enjoy it.

back in elementary school they actually used to take kids there on trips. but it was reserved only for graduating classes I think. my parents didnt let me go and I still remember being so pissed off.
^LOL i remember i wasnt allowed to go either! because apparently they give you medieval type food..roast chicken, other stuff and we're big on halal soooo that was a no-no :(

if u like to eat food sitting in a place that smells like horse ****..then you should not miss this place.
