anybody know that the medicine “PREDNISOLONE” is taken for wat??

it's an anti-inflammatory... taken for anything from asthma to cushings... all dependent on dose and route of admin

hmm, if it is advised to take as ( 5 tabs in first three days, than 4 tabs the next three days, 2 tabs as three days)

Perhaps the person taking it has had several recent infections?

hmm. yup after watching some test reports doctor also told that that thr might be some kinda blood infection. n he adviced to take PREDNISOLONE dosage as above i mentioned. but when i searched abt it on net i saw thr few othr diseases in which this medicine is adviced.

am very tense after watching dat as doctor also asked for another blood test n told that after its report he will finally conclude.

so after watching dat worse diseases for which dis medicine is adviced. n da statement of doctor am too much worried.

i request please u ppl also to pray for him.

Prednisone is a steroid and is anti inflammatory. It has been called a miracle drug since it is used to cure a wide variety of ailments. It does have lot of side effects.

hey..
this medicine is a Steroid..
its bad for health.. although it gives relief..
its known to be the highest of all medicines..
has bad side effects.. like anger.. frustrations..
its bad..
seeing my mom using it..
steroids double the wear n tear of the body...

Prednisolone is not given for "infection". It actually makes them worse.

What has the doctor told you ? what is the diagnosis?

Remember there are many diseases for which steroids are the "only" treatment and stopping them may be disastrous.
