**An Alberta judge has sentenced Canada’s youngest convicted multiple murderer to 10 years. The 14-year-old girl had been found guilty in the slayings of her parents and brother.
*****The Crown had argued the girl pushed Steinke to kill her family because they disapproved of her relationship with Steinke. She was 12 and he was 23 at the time of the April 2006 killings in the family’s home.
On the stand, the girl insisted Steinke broke into the house and killed her parents, though she admitted trying to choke her brother and stabbing him once, urged on by Steinke.
During the trial, the Crown brought forward evidence of email chats between the two, discussing how the girl’s family members should be killed.
out of those ten years, she spends 4 in a psychiatric (sp?) hospital and 4.5 under community supervision. add time she’s been in custudy and thats ten years
