Medical causes & treatments of Undereye circles and puffiness

Lack of sleep
Fatigue
yes all of that!

But I hear that malfunctioning of the kidney, dehydration, etc., can also cause underye dark circles and puffiness. Please share your experiences.

Re: Medical causes & treatments of Undereye circles and puffiness

sometimes dark circles can be caused by none of the above. sometimes it's just pure genetics. It can be caused by having thin (or thinning) skin under the eyes.

Re: Medical causes & treatments of Undereye circles and puffiness

They're often caused by lack of sleep or an irregular sleeping pattern.

The real cause of bags under your eyes indicates that you have fluid collecting in the loose skin and a filling of the fat deposits in that region of your face (creating shadows). And causally, you have bags under your eyes (or dark circles under your eyes), as nine out of 10 people do at one time or another in their lives, because of many possible (and combined) causes:
--Vitamin-deficiency
--Poor diet
--Overexposure to sunlight
--Overuse (number one culprit: long-term pc monitor-reading)
--Sleep deprivation
--Allergies
--Genetics/heredity
--Cigarette-smoking
--Disease or illness (or organ damage)
--Natural aging
--Stress

Last but not least, like A_E said, it can be genetic as well. You should see if your family history contains such.

I have dark cycles by genes but I've made 'em worse by staying up late and irregular sleep cycles. Any easy and effective treatment?

dermatologists have laser treatments for it...just not sure how effective they are.
