Med school isn't worth it anymore?

Re: Med school isn’t worth it anymore?

I was specialising to become a an upper GI surgeon, but then decided to go into General Practice. It was a very calculated move despite my father’s objection who is an orthopaedic surgeon. It took me much lesser time to get to general practice register. For first two years I mainly did out-of-hours, earning around 120GBP per hour. The very first year I had grossed so much I paid off my mortgage, and the second year I had enough to move to Australia and buy multiple properties with 20% deposits. So just like in any profession, you have to think out of the box, show the zeal, the method and guts to succeed. If you think that everybody who goes into finance, banking or realestate becomes a millionaire, then you are disillusioned. Same rule applied for every profession.
