Now that people are beginning to provide solid reasons for disagreeing with this tower, and not just moaning about the money, I’m starting to agree with them. You’re right, all the historic places in Makkah should be preserved and, just out of respect for the khaana kaaba, buildings shouldn’t be taller than the minarets. I agree with this.

Oh well, its done now.

there are places taller than Kaaba already.
as far as destruction of historic places, it has happened already and has been going on for historically more significant places than are being torn now.
