Meat Lovers

Ok you carnivores.

Lets have it out. How many times in a week do you eat beef or lamb or mutton or goat or chicken? Vs. how many times do you set aside in the week for fish or more vegetarian fare?

Re: Meat Lovers

average once a week, maybe lesser :)

Re: Meat Lovers

I'm not a huge meat lover myself, but chicken is something that I could eat 24/7/365 and never get bored of it. On average I think I cook that about 6 times a week.... usually in addition to some sabzi or as a second dish. Fish is made every other week, and at least once a week I make something simple like daal or beans with some vegetable dish like spinach or cauliflower. I couldnt live without chicken!

Re: Meat Lovers

3 times week: mutton and/or beef
2 times a week: chicken
other days, ummm, could be vegetarian, could be not.
We do eat fish also, but not every week.

Re: Meat Lovers

mostly beef or chicken, twice a day
seafood or veg stuff may be once a week
i know its wrong but dont have an option as i live on junk food. burger king, mcdonadls, kfc, dominos, oporto, pizza hut. .. . …etc i know they are not halal, pls dont kill me :chai:

Re: Meat Lovers

Re: Meat Lovers

^ i love to cook at home but my housemate is such an annoying homosepian :smack2:

Re: Meat Lovers

AT our home its chicken and vegs 7 days of week.

Usually one time meal is vegs with chicken. e.g. aaloo chicken, Karelay Chicken, Bhindi chicken, even chicken in Daal sometimes. Second time meal is normally very light like noodles or veg sandwich, fruits etc.

Fish is liked by every one at home. But still somehow its not cooked very often. But like once in two weeks.

Rice… hmmmm… not often… we are Rotee lovers

Re: Meat Lovers

Chicken- 1/2 times a week
Fresh fish- 1/2 times a week
Vegetables/stirfries etc- 4/5 times a week
Daal- 2 times a week

Mutton and chicken most o the time of week
Fish every two weeks but I don't eat much in summer but in winter every week.
Vegis I cook with meat so only once a week.

Re: Meat Lovers

meat everyday, veggies everyday, rice everyday, bread everyday and indeed daal everyday :)

Re: Meat Lovers

We are chickenivors :yummy:

not much beef or mutton . But shami kebabs from beef are made in the millions and frozen to be eaten for the next 6 months or so - so shami kebab is a standard item on the table.

Fish once in a while - not the Gravy type.
Apart from Chicken - Rice + Veg + Dal + Misc. , form the pillars of daily cuisine

hahaha pillars of daily cuisine hahaha

Re: Meat Lovers

Now what if 3 of your meat meals per week were replaced by veggies? Try it. You'll lose weight and feel more energized.

Re: Meat Lovers

4-5/week meat..
3-4/month fish..
rest is mixed with veggies

Re: Meat Lovers

chicken almost everyday
i cant eat if there’s no meat :bummer:

dont really like beef or mutton, only sometimes
but really like chicken.

Re: Meat Lovers

PCG - there are some individuals who can eat like a errrrrrr.... "that" animal
and have no worries about gaining weight or any other complications

yours truly, is one of them

Re: Meat Lovers

Am I the only one that really does NOT like chicken? I think that my ammi cooked it and fed it to us so much that I got sick of it.
