Measurement Conversions - Food

I need help with food measuring. I have a recipe in Pao and kilograms.
I find easiest to work in cups or oz. Can someone please help me with this.

Re: Measurement Conversions - Food

The basic unit is called a ser سیر, which equals two pounds.

One-fourth of a *ser is *called a pao پاؤ,and it equals one-half pound.

A ser is divided into 16 chhataank چھٹانک. (Thus, four chhataank equals one pao)

A chhataank, which equals two ounces, is divided into five tole تولے.

A tola is divided into 12 masha ماشہ.

A masha equals eight rattiyan رتیاں.

A ratti is described as “the weight of eight barley corns,” and it is used mostly by jewelers, and not in recipes.
