Meaning of Worship in Hinduism.

I was going through another thread on Hinduism, its not easy for Muslims etc to understand logic of worshipping, monkeys, stones, trees etc. I once got a simple and pretty cute explanation by my friend. I couldn’t argue with that or maybe I didn’t want to. Anyways, what exactly does worship and praying mean in Hinduism?

I recommed my Muslim brothers and sisters to learn about thier religion before learning about what others do. Mere suggestion.
