Re: Meal of the Week 16th - 20th April

one more question shab: what is the serving size of this?

Re: Meal of the Week 16th - 20th April

Shab-e-hijr, mashallah the food looks super duper awesome ... I have a quick question regards the biryani that you made ..

The nutmeg , do you crack the peel and then powder the whole of the soft nut? doenst it take over the khusboo of the entire khana?

Re: Meal of the Week 16th - 20th April

I didn't peel the nutmeg...just grind as it is along with other spices. it does have strong khushboo but it will be overpowered by other spices.

Re: Meal of the Week 16th - 20th April

I made 4 paratha's with one cup of ata. if you gonna follow the exact recipe you should be able to make 8 to 10.

Re: Meal of the Week 16th - 20th April

So you dont throw away the shell of the nutmeg ? I thought we throw it away … little did I know it can be powdered along with the nut :hayaa:

Thanks so much for letting me know .. also please can you tell me the difference between javitri and that star thing you used for biryani?>

Re: Meal of the Week 16th - 20th April

Nutmeg is jaiphal in urdu
and this is mace .. javitri

Re: Meal of the Week 16th - 20th April

hmmm thanks so much Shab :hugz: i have got javitri at home .. will it make a huge difference to the taste if i dont add star anise?

Re: Meal of the Week 16th - 20th April

no sweety it won’t make any difference. just omit it if you don’t have it.
