me kokka

hey everyone,
ok,as some of you might already know,iv been wanting to get my nose pierced for a long time now but never really had the guts to do it.i just wana ask the people who already have nose pins etc, whether, the opening actually closes fully once u decide that u dont really like it,looking at my mums, she still has it…maybe thats because shes worn one for years but has taken it out recently? also,iv heard,it makes your nose bigger?any truth in that? finally, how much does it hurt?& how long will ir hurt???
i really wana get a lil dimond kokka(nose pin) & i wana get it done this week. originally i wanted a nathni but my friends kept tellingme over n over again that it was too trampy,so iv given up on that:S.

I had my nose pierced twice, both nostrils. I hate pain but I didn't find getting my nose pierced to be very painful, aside from some dizziness right afterward and some throbbing, it was totally fine.

I had one piercing done with a gun and another with a needle. I found getting it done with a needle to be a much better experience, cleaner, better care from the piercer, less oozing from the nose afterward. and you can choose how big you want your opening to be and stuff too.

My openings closed very quickly. But I only had both piercings for a year max.

ya.. i agree with sarah.. but i had mine done with a wire.. i wanted to wear a nose ring so the guy took a pce of silver wire, sharpened one end and used that to make the hole  it only hurt when he was puttin it in and shaping the wire into a ring… after that.. i couldnt feel any kinda pain at all.. nor did my nose swell up or get infected.. just applied a lot of fucidin or polyfax to it and kept teh hole clean…
the hole should close up if u do quit wearing anythin in it.. unless u take it out after what.. 20 yrs

once u get a hole.. u can wear both.. teh nose ring and the stud…

Your nose does not get bigger.

And no it doesn't hurt. It's no biggie and u can always take it out.

wat's the use of having three nostrils when two are enough?

punjabi kuri if ya wanted a nathni den i say ignore mates n listen to moi! i say u sud gets it!!!

ive had mine for almost 9 years  umm it doesnt hurt much.. just like an ear piercing (actually the upper ear piercing hurts more.. ask me.. i know!)

and no.. it doesnt make ur nose look any bigger.. infact mine still looks like i have no nose.. and a diamond stud always make ur nose look a lot more elegant.. my sister was always worried bout her nose being too big… then she got it pierced and it looks beautiful (is a nosey way)

umm if u think ur gonna take it out not sure about it… make sure u wear a small stud or even a balli.. and make sure it doesnt dig into the skin :k:

oh another thing… if u take the stud out.. and want to put it back in, make sure u dont leave it out for toooo long cus it’ll kill u when u put it back in. The nose hold closes fairly quickly (it must be all the hair us paki girls have in our nose that does it haha)

pk i got mine done with a gun in pak and it didnt hurt much to be honest, it was a bit uncomfy in the beginning but afterwards i kept using polyfax and it was fine

the other way is to use a needle or a sharp nath but i think the gun is the most painless one coz its instant

just make sure he does it at the right spot though. mark the spot u want it at with a pen first.

i’ve been wearing a gold koka with a zircon [diamond like stone] in it for yrs now. once i took it off (amost i think a yr or maybe two? after getting the piercing) and it started closing within days so i put it back in

i think the hole doesnt enlarge unless you wear a heavy nath or something that puts pressure there

good luck

I have always wondered what do women wearing the nosepin do, when they get flu?

^

kuch bhee nai

it doesnt really interfere with the flu

My nose is just as natural as it could be.. no nose piercing..!! :snooty:

Why is it so important anyway?? :konfused:

ok peeps,im getting it done 2mw…well,unless i chicken out at the end:S
thanx sooo much 4 ur advice darlings:muwah:really helped,im so gettin it done now;)
wish me luck:flower1:

It doesnt hurt much at all.But even if it closes up- the very top of the skin layer stays the same- matlab the hole of the piercing is still visible.good luck.

damnnnn!!!!!if i dont like it i want it to disappear!!!sigh lets see wht happens 2mw.i really want it.

hey punjabi kuri,

I got mine done probably 11/12 years ago with a gun..and something went wrong and i had a pakora nose for a year...people told me that i should get the surgery done..some gave me tips etc..some told me that i shouldn't have got that done in rainy season.. sau munh sau batain..after a year the extra skin vanished..i never really wore any laung..i always used to wear a tinka of neem tree..i was looking for the perfect tiny laung i could get..

After my marriage..i couldn't find my tinkas and went around travelling..guess what..the hole closed..then this year few months back while i was sitting with my jewellery box..i tried inserting an earpin type laung..it went through..i was so happy..i went and bought some laungs but they couldn't enter the hole yet..i kept on using earpin type laungs..and now i can wear my favourite laung again :) and that's the only jewellery i wear.

I got mine pierced earlier this year. Initially it hurt, but the pain goes away in a few seconds. My eye watered for longer tho, in response. The lady that did it said that was normal. They didn't use a gun; they used a long needle (which is apparently better).

I think the weirdest part of the experience was that I was in a tattoo parlor with really random images on the walls, and people covered in tattoos, and parents bringing their children to get various body parts pierced and tattooed.

Anyway, it hasn't made my nose look bigger.

My mother used to have one when she was a teenager, but she took it out a few years after marriage and it closed up. There's still a slight mark, but it's pretty faded.

k,so i went last saturday…& got it done, the lady who did it,she had a million piercings in all the odd places…her piercings put me off at first n i just walked outa the hop(i didnt go to an asian one,the girl who was mena do it was half black, very pretty but wayyy too many piercings:S)
i wnet in again though…after a while…n got it done, didnt hurt much…she put in a big nosepin i chose…the best out of the 1s she showed me& well she said keep it in for 3 weeks but i just hated tht kokka so much…that i went green treet today n got my self a lovely tiny lil diamond kokka, looks real nice now:)
conclusion: im happy:)

thanx everyone:flower1:

 congrats pk

You changed it after a day

I really want to change mine (I don’t like how it sticks out, would rather have one that is flat against the skin), but am too scared. And now I can’t figure out how to take it out :bummer:

^ sahar, whats urs like from the back? is it turned or do u have a stopper?

my sister had a lot of issues taking it out.. but once i yanked it out myself for her, and ever since then she’s been good at doing it herself :k: nobody wants their sister picking at their nose… gross huh? hehe
