how did you prepare for it, and would you recommend self study, KAPLAN, or TPR?
when is the best time to take MCAT, April or August?
I am graduating next yr and would like to start preparing for MCAT from now on, but some ppl think it would get really boring and would fry my brain if I studied for MCAT for one year. Any idea?
is there such a hing as the Pakistani MCAT - as opposed to the ETS/AAMC standardized MCAT ??
NEWayz, I haven't done the MCAT myself but am gonna give you my general opinion on Princeton and Kaplan.
If you're opting for an instructor-led course, you're better off with Kaplan, but if you want self-study guides, Princeton is good enough too.
The reason being that most instructors at Kaplan tend to be professional freshmen who've recently experienced the standardized tests on a first-hand basis... whereas those at Princeton apply a common "standardized testing" treatise to all exams be it GMAT, GRE or the MCATs.
I've worked at Kaplan as a GMAT instructor, so am telling you from whatever I've come to know, but then again, being an ex-employee, my opinion might be biased :-)
Thank you Umar Talib for your input. I was also considering Kaplan for next summer n obviously I will prefer someone personally who had went through testing rather than some books that are always there with some slight changes in new edition. Thanx
