If someone has a computer background and wants to do MBA MIS..
how long does it takes? Any ideas? From states or abroad i mean…

same time it takes to do an MBA. Unless you mean two degrees one in MBA and one in MIS. In which case I would say normally 3-4 yrs and if the school offers a joint program 2 yrs.

you can do a 2 year MBA with a concentration in MIS.

yeah there is a confusion....
MBA-MIS is Managment Information System..???
and simple MIS is Masters in information system??
please correct me if i m wrong,

Yes I know that but are you looking for an MBA-MIS or are you looking for an MBA and an MIS degree? two degrees or one?

preferrably MBA-MIS.. NOT Mis alone.. well what MIS alone is all about? any ideas?? and are there any co,mputer related courses in Mba-Mis?

.. courses are mostly Database Management Techniques,Management of Information Systems Development,Structured Analysis Techniques in oracle,Management of Technology .

I would suggest that you try for MBA with emphasis on IT. If you already have a BS, the MIS does not add much.

It is not easy to get assistanceships for MBA. It is quite easy to get assistanceships for MS, though.
