At Ancholi’s stop (near Water Pump, Karachi), I saw an office carrying boards ‘Mazedar Haj’. When I asked my friend whats that all about he said Its a project by ‘Mazedaar Haleem and Biryani walas’ .
Another friend told that he has seen some Pakola Masjids in P.E.C.H.S area which were built or funded by a beverage company.
I was shocked to see how commercialised our society has become. 
Any views or experience similar to that?

its like they built that masjid and/or sponsoring hajj for the sake of this world, for marketing their brand, not for the reward in hereafter. innamal a'maalo benniya.

Mazedar Hajj is probably Hajj Operators... I think its a business name and they did bran'ding

^ thats possible, i think i was generalizing too much.
and also some names could be adopted because of locality of something famous. i cannot recall any such name at the moment, but somewhat recall hearing something on those lines

PAKOLA masjid is not the actual name of that masjid. It is not in PECHs rather some where near numaish. Actual name of masjid is Ghafooria masjid.

there is a very famous deobandi naqshbandi shaikh there

People started calling it PAKOLA may be becuase the owner live right next to the masjid and may be he invested some thing, but the name written on mosque wall is ghafooria masjid. i dont think that this is marketing tactic from him. Lets have some husn zann:)
