question is , my bhabi is having her make up done by Naveeda MUA and she recommends on her letter not to use ubtan as it stains skin and makes makeup look off key.
does it really? also is there a bridal ubtan recipe we can follow? i do not want to ruin my bhabi’s skin as her mayoon is 6 days before wedding day. Equally bhabi wants to use ubtan as its traditional , she has combination skin.

yes ubtan does stain the skin. BUT 6 days is more than enough for the colour to wear off. Ubtan has been used for centuries by women in particular to give their skin that added "glow". It isnt bad for your skin, ofcourse each persons skin will behave differently but in general it is supposed to be good for your skin. If you are worried about the stains, you can use a lemon to get the colour out of the skin.
don't worry ubtan doesn't have any side effects or anything.............i remember they did that at my mayoon which was about a week before my wedding and i had people telling me it would stain my skin but for some reason it didn't leave any sort of stain on my skin
Ubtan does stain the skin but it's temp! I LOVE ubtan.. it makes my skin glow! I wash-off my face and soak a cotton pad with astringent/toner..and it all comes off!
According to my bhabi's aunt she will have to put it on every day before the wedding... good idea or not?
Gina i've been trying to find your ubtan recipe but i have given up trawling through pages of threads :( could you help me with a perfect ubtan recipe for combination/ oily skin !
Also we went to a gujji mehendi and they made an ubtan ball!!
urban broke out my skin badly. it's not for everyone just because it's a natural product doesn't mean it doesn't have any harm in it. as someoen said, not everything herbal is good. marijuana is an herb too :p
