I can’t decide on what to wear. For the mayoon I’m gonna do the yellow outfit but can’t decide between shalwar kameez or gharara. For the mehndi its the same problem. I neeed help!! if you guys can post pictures for me to get ideas from I would love it!

thats what I have always wanted but my mom is all like dono din gharara and I was like yeah aand lol.. anywho so I was searching youtube videos and came across this mehndi video the stage set up and colors are what I have always dreamed about. I was thinking of making my brothers wear the green the dulhan ( the dried mehndi color ) is wearing and get all my girls to wear the pink and burnt orange combo. I'm obsessed with pink so I have to tie that in somehow. What color should I wear and will the pink and orange clash? lol

What are you going to wear for Shaadi and Valima?

For the shaadi I'm thinking of a nice pink with gold (my mom made one of those saath lara haars for me and the valima torquise and beige. My mom is giving a gorgeous emerald choker set that I would love to wear but need a good contrasting color to go with green ( no red already wore that on the nikkah) They dont sound good but once I get pix of the colors I will post them.

For the mehndi, everyone will be wearing green and yellow.

I suggest picking something different...you have to stand out...you're the bride!

^use green and mix it with other colors, like hot pink and purple. You could do the same with yellow, and have yellow, turquoise, dark purple and hot pink. Anything colorful usually works :)

I went to this wedding!! It was here in Dallas! They really went alllll out for their wedding, some of the richest people here.

I think yellow, orange and pink with silver work best for the mayoon. Use just one basic colour and enhance with silver kiran, gota. Too many embellishments and makeup on that day just spoil the look, IMO. The key is to keep mayoon as simple as possible. If you are planning to stay in till the mehndi and do the whole ubtan/oil routine then the outfit should be comfortable as well.

The style options can be:

  • Simple shalwar kameez
  • Churidar
  • Khara Dupatta
  • Maybe a gharara or a lehnga

I think a bride like her is the mods’ worst nightmare- why? Because if she ever finds out her pictures are posted on this site in literally every single thread, sgc and I are gonna have to dedicate weeks or maybe even months finding and removing them.
