Thanks sheal and stylobabe - so let me get this straight
sharara is the one which is like a skirt -
gharara has two legs and
ghagra is the one which comes has a bit straight from above till the knees and then has chunats neechay say…i.e. like in the ppic..?

** ghagra, lehenga, sharara** - they’re all the same. like a skirt essentially.

** gharara** - like really wide bell bottom pants. there is gher and a border at the knees usually.

** farshi gharara** - the border on a farshi gharara starts much lower- i.e. mid calf, but it is also split in two, i.e. with two legs instead of a skirt.

teelo- what you’re describing as a ghagra is actually a gharara.

lehenga, sharara, ghagra are like this - the skirt shape can be mermaid or a-line or trumpet -

I have a plain red gharara that is my mother’s and she got it made a long while back (like 20 years ago) but is in perfect condition. the problem is i have no where to wear it to
