What happened to her? My aunt was commenting how she has closed up her morning show on Express, because of death threats. I remember her from that initial drama with that guy who sings, I forget his name. It was a pretty popular music video, and subsequently, I recall her being a very poised and well mannered normal girl. Then she got really fat, and came onto the morning shows, and initially I saw a few episodes and thought she did ok.
What did she do to peeve off the mullahs? I guess there is a blasphemy case on her too now?
She did a live morning show in a public park and chased (yes chased) couples sitting together in that park telling them they are doing immoral activities. She showed their faces and lectured them.
Later when there was so much fuss over it she revealed that the couples were hired actors and she did it for cheap publicity of her show.
Apparently no mullah went after her, because she made their job easier (any couples sitting in public place must be doing immoral acts in public). It was civil society, the senior journalists who went after her and she was thrown out of Samaa TV. But as there is a good market for rotten eggs in my country so she is still preaching morality on some channel.
