"May he rule for 100 years''/Musharraf released spy for Indian Supremacy (Merged)

Mashallah. Fine Praise indeed from the Indian family.

President Musharaf is becoming renowned for his generosity and sincererity across the world. This includes the delivery of Freeest and Fairest Ekections in Pakistan’s history, despite people saying the elections will be rigged.

The return to India of Kashmir Singh after 35 years in a Pakistani prison is in many respects a powerful love story.

His devoted wife, Paramjit Kaur, never lost hope over the decades that she would once again see the father of her three children.

Little wonder then that when the couple were finally reunited - along with one of their children - their collective bear hug lasted perhaps a little longer than is socially acceptable in conservative South Asia.

Clearly overwhelmed by a sense of disbelief and the moment itself, the 67-year-old Indian tightly clutched a plastic bag containing his meagre belongings.

He waved goodbye to Pakistan and signalled his gratitude to a people who had long condemned him to the terrible solitude of a death row cell but in the end also became his liberators.

Lustily cheered by the thousands who came to welcome him home, the short balding man sporting grey stubble took a moment to touch the earth then straightened up to greet them.

‘Emotional moment’

After struggling alone for 35 years, his wife Paramjit Kaur and son Shishpal had been camping at the border check post in anticipation of Mr Singh’s imminent return.

Border officers present said it was a “highly emotional moment, as they cried and laughed all at the same time”.

Referring to his spouse using the honorific, “begum”, Mr Singh said that when he last saw her she was a pretty young woman.

“She is still beautiful but has grown old now,” he laughed admitting that he remembered very little about his three children.
He said it was his memory of his wife that kept his hopes alive through the 35 years of solitary confinement.

The former death row prisoner was filled with gratitude towards President Pervez Musharraf and Pakistan’s caretaker Human Rights Minister, Ansar Burney, who has worked tirelessly to orchestrate his pardon and eventual repatriation.

“Burney sahib is a farishta (angel) for my family and me, God bless him,” Mr Singh said.

A tearful Mr Singh hugged Mr Burney for a long time, and turned around to wave at scores of journalists and onlookers before stepping across the border.

“I have no regrets for anything that happened to me… that life is over,” he said.

His grateful family lavished praise on President Musharraf for releasing him.

**“May he rule for 100 years,” Paramjit Kaur told the BBC on being told the president had pardoned her long lost husband. **

Re: "May he rule for 100 years'' - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Very nice :)

Re: "May he rule for 100 years’’ - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Mashallah, Subhanallah, Jazakallah may he now also be generous to wards his own people and release form jail thousands of people held illegally there and the “disappeared” ones. Also may he be generous and not brutal towards the family which include children of the CJ of Pakistan. How generous of him to keep even children of people he hates in illegal confinement.

Can only happen in Mush’s rule. :jhanda:

Re: "May he rule for 100 years'' - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Very nice indeed. President Musharaf is a great visionary. For the last eight years he has worked hard in bringing a greater understanding between the people of India and Pakistan. His aim, like that of Indian leaders is to bring peace and harmony to this entire region of 1.5 billion people. From these foundations can be built a great and powerful alliance that can change the destiny of its people.

Re: "May he rule for 100 years'' - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

No i meant very nice that Kashmir Singh was released and his family is happy to have him back at last. :)

BTW, it is the interim Govt. that gets the credit for his release, not Musharraf or Q-League because he could've been released much much earlier.

Re: "May he rule for 100 years'' - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

The main credit for Mr Singh's release goes to care taker Human Rights Minister and journalist Ansar Burney and not Mush. Burney was intrumental in getting him released. To his credit Burney took a keen interest in his case. Otherwise the sad plight of this man would never have been known and he would be 'chakki peesing and peesing and peesing' in the same jail till his death.

Re: "May he rule for 100 years’’ - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Now Aalsi is using the words of an Indian spy to support Mush? :cb:

He is getting so desperate to find someone who speaks kind words for the detested dictator :cb:

Re: "May he rule for 100 years’’ - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Oh c’mon everyone’s entitled to a chuckle every once in a while.

Be Joyous Aalsi! don’t listen to these joylous people :clown:

God Bless the Deserving :jhanda:

Re: "May he rule for 100 years’’ - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

His family has actually cursed all pakistanis of 100 years of turmoil for keeping their important family member for 35 years in jail..:hehe:

Re: "May he rule for 100 years’’ - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

:hehe: this is truly called clutching at straws.

Re: "May he rule for 100 years'' - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Kashmir Singh is a indian spy (an army official caught as spying in Pakistan in 1973) who was rightfully condemned to death by courts and was later serving as life prison..

Whereas, hundreds and hundreds have been arreseted and sold to USA by Musharaf without any proof..

Re: "May he rule for 100 years’’ - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Mashallah. God Bless President Musharaf for appointing great human rights champions like Ansar Burni. :k:

Re: "May he rule for 100 years’’ - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

i did not read anything after the title of the thread… may he rule a hundred years?

Re: "May he rule for 100 years’’ - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Care taker Minister for Human Rights Ansar Burney (L) comes out with Kashmir Singh (2R), an Indian prisoner who was arrested in 1973 and handed a death sentence by a military court, at The Central Jail in Lahore on March 3, 2008.

Re: "May he rule for 100 years'' - Lavish Praise for President Musharaf.

Aalsi will the 'great' President now release Sarabjit Singh (who the PAK authorities believe is Manjit Singh, a spy. He was sentenced to death by Lahore High Court in 2003 for his alleged involvement in four bomb blasts in Lahore and Multan that killed around 14 people in 1990) or will he be relying again on people like Ansar Burney?
