I agree with you in a way but if you haven’t played a ball then let the batsman who is holding it so far do the job instead of you trying to be a hero then turning out to be the big zero.
But for the loss I wouldn’t blame it on him alone, I’d rather blame Akmals, Afridi, Misbah (though this time he was unlucky for wrong LBW). Kudos to Butt for fighting it out. I didn’t watch match luckily so I don’t know what happened in middle overs when we were batting but looks like run-rate was too low and that took the toll in the end.
