Mawlid Un Nabi SAWW

On Tuesday night, I held Mehfil-e-Milad un Nabi SAWW in my house where I have invited Shaykh wa Qari Muhammed Yasir bin Abdel Basit Mohamed Abdel Samed and Nasheed Artist Muhammad Milad Mustafa Raza Qadri.

The event started with Recitation of Quran
followed by Nasheed by Milad Raza
and short talk by local Scholar who talked about why Allah SWT created universe and who was the sole reason why we celebrate Mawlid Un Nabi SAWW.

I have invited all my friends in the event from various scholl of thoughts, none of them objected or said Biddah.

At the end I gave islamic literature as a gift pack to every single guest.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this???

Re: Mawlid Un Nabi SAWW

Nothing i see at all was wrong with it? Who said anything was wrong with holding mehfil e milaad :asa: if they say it to me :kursi:

Thanks for the comment, click on the link below and watch four lectures and then comeback and give your opinion:

The ‘Mawlid-un-Nabi’ English DVD lectures series consists of 4 DVDs consisting of 4 lectures:

Part 1: In the light of Quran and Hadith
Part 2: In the light of Quranic Interpretations
Part 3: The Concept of Qiyam and Mawlid
Part 4: Historical evidences on Mawlid & the concept of Bida’h

Special on screen features: Arabic text and translation, References, Explanations

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has covered every aspect in proving the legality of celebrating Mawlid-un-Nabi SAW. Every argument is presented primarily from the Quran, backed up by numerous classical Quranic interpretations, supported by traditions from Sahih Bukhari and the Sihah Sitta in general.

The evidence presented on the legality of celebrating Mawlid-un-Nabi SAW is so overwhelming with full references from hundreds of books written by great classical imams of Tafseer, Hadith and Fiqh, that the extent of the injustice being done by those who oppose Mawlid becomes apparent.

For instance details are given of over 50 great imams of Tafseer, Hadith and Fiqh who have written full fledged books or chapters determining the legality of Mawlid celebrations; Imam Shafi, Imam Ahmad bin Hambal, Imam Athqalani, Imam Jalal-ud-Din Sayuti and Imam Qustalani are but to name a few from the long list.

Such information will be a revelation to many, especially in the West.

A detailed discussion of Bida’h in relation to Mawlid is also given together with the history of Mawlid celebrations in Makkah, Madinah and the whole of the Muslim World, throughout the last 1400 years till the present day.

Get ready to be flooded with oceans of classical Islamic knowledge and get ready to be shocked…

Re: Mawlid Un Nabi SAWW

I'm not a big fan of Tahir ul Qadri to be honest with you.

Too bad for the Sahaba Like Abu-Bakr, Umer, Usman, Ali and may others (RZA) ( Directly taught by the Prophet (SAWW)) never had a chance to celebrate this occasion... i think All these Sahaba (RZA) shall be punished on the DAY for not celebrating MILAD as the universe was created for this sole purpose... and what ever Allah Subhan.o.tala says about the creation of mankind in Quran is just a legend

I totally agree with that SCHOLAR.... carry on

Hanibal,

"I totally agree with that SCHOLAR.... carry on"

Does it matter if you disagree with a scholar who delivered more that 7000 lectures around the world and wrote over 1000 books.

I would say if you say to me that you disagree with Local Imam Sahib that will be joke of the century.

Buddy what are your qualifications? Are you a Scholar? Are you a Mujtahid??? Are you a Mufassir, are you a Muhaddith?

If you are none of them then

"I totally agree with that SCHOLAR.... carry on" that is joke of the century

Re: Mawlid Un Nabi SAWW

like they say, "made in Da'wat and company (pvt) limited" aagay aap khud samajh daar hain

Explain how it is bidah

Re: Mawlid Un Nabi SAWW

You did good bro, mash’Allah!

way better than this:

Did Rasulullah (saw) came to your Milad?

Delivering 7000 Lecture does not make equal to the dirt of Sahabas, who actually preached by example.. so i think that should be enough..

My qualification in Islam is that i follow Quran, Sunna and Sahaba... and not some aalim who deliver 7000 lectures around the world to make his living... i guess that should be enough.. BTW would you mind asking your GREAT SCHOLAR, that Sahaba and Their Follower (Tabayaéen) and Followers of the Followers never conducted mehfil-e-milad??? he might be able to give you a lecture of 10,000 words but i can bet it will all about SINS of asking such question or telling me that i am a wahabi..

SO buddy continue to satisfy yourself with the such Scholars who deliver 7000 lectures in the world for living..

BTW you never ever said a single word for Sahaba and The Prophet (SAAW) not celebrating Milad.. i wonder.. if in the 1000s of books that so-called scholar wrote ( and still you some problem in typing his name) he had shed some light on it... As i said earlier... your scholar is right.. but the Sahaba shall be punished for not celebrating Milad as you and your scholar has rightly mentioned that the universe is created for celebrating Milad.. What QURAN has to say is just some legend and nothing more... the word of your scholar is more important.. carry own with your scholar...

it is wrong because
1) there is no shari evidence for holding any special events or considering this day as special
2) The companions (radiAllahu anhuma) of Allah's Messengers (sal-allahu alayhi wa salaam) didn't do it. Do you think you and those who celebrate this day are better than the sahabas? Do you think you're more keen to earn reward and please Allah than the sahabas? If you say yes to these questions, then you need to check your Islam. If you say no to these questions, then why are you doing something in religion and giving it a religious importance which they never did?

And Imam Malik (rahimahullah) sealed the door to such fitnah and any intellecutal fraud when he said: "whatever was not part of deen at their (sahabas) time will never be part of deen at our time".

Hear hear.
