PESHAWAR: Senior Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader Maulana Faqir Mohammad has said his organisation has changed its strategy and large-scale attacks like the one on PNS Mehran in Karachi and the two targeting border security posts in Upper Dir and Lower Dir districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would now be launched.
Speaking to The News from an undisclosed location, he said individual strikes by the militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and elsewhere in Pakistan would continue, but the preferred option would be to mount high-profile attacks against government and military installations.
Maulana Faqir Mohammad, who was deputy head of the TTP before disappearing from the scene last year amid unsubstantiated reports that he had patched up with the government, spoke to the media after a considerable gap. There were also reports at the time that some of his Taliban colleagues in Bajaur Agency had developed differences with him.
However, on Thursday he appeared determined to carry on his fight with the Pakistani state. Maulana Faqir Mohammad claimed he was in touch with TTP head Hakimullah Mahsud and other top commanders through couriers and other means. **He insisted that he was speaking from somewhere in Afghanistan close to the Pakistan border. It was the first time that a TTP commander explained the new strategy of the outlawed militant organisation.
“Our new strategy of launching big attacks on military installations was aimed at causing demoralisation in the ranks of the security forces and tiring out the government. We also want to limit civilian casualties. Our ultimate objective is to force the government to end its alliance with the US,” Maulana Faqir Mohammad stressed.

When asked why the Pakistani Taliban were attacking targets in Pakistan and killing fellow Muslims and Pakistanis, he said the Pakistani security forces first attacked them and forced them to retaliate. “We turned out attention to Pakistan when we were attacked. Before that our attention was focused on the war in Afghanistan,” he argued.
Maulana Faqir Mohammad warned that Pakistani militants would become increasingly involved in the fight against the Pakistan government and security forces.** “If a military operation was carried out in North Waziristan, the militants presently staying away from the battle against Pakistan’s security forces will also turn their guns to Pakistan,” he said.
When questioned how come Pakistani militants were operating from Afghanistan’s territory and the Afghan government and Nato forces weren’t taking action against them, Maulana Faqir said there were areas in Afghanistan’s border provinces like Kunar and Nuristan where the regime in Kabul and the US-led foreign forces had no control. “The militants control these places. It is propaganda against us that the Afghan government is supporting Pakistani Taliban,” he contended. **When reminded about reports that the TTP may be receiving funds from India, he said: “India is ruled by non-Muslims. We have always considered India an enemy country. How can we accept funding from the Indians?”

I thought FC was bad because it wasn't funded and trained properly but here the army needs chittar as well for letting this nonsense continue. I believe if the army doesn't rectify its behavior, then sooner than later the overwhelming majority of Pakistani awam would want to put the whole officer corps in front of a stalinisque firing squad.

one of the major factor of re-rising of these Stupid Moulvies is funding from KPK. Govt should also search the people who are funding them. And guys all this Moulvi Faqeer and TTP business is just "Money business" they are doing this whole thing just for the sake of money. Nothing else.
