Talking to a few people in a shop a few days ago, they said that they like Mulana Tariq Jameel, I’d just like to know why he is really respected amongst the Islamic community, do his views differ from other preachers?
Re: Maulana Tariq Jameel, can someone aware me on him?
Maulana Tariq Jameel sahab. I got to know him after listening to his lectures. Mash’Allah..Amazing and very inspirational speeches.
Re: Maulana Tariq Jameel, can someone aware me on him?
He is respected because of the message he delivers. You would have to listen to him to get the feel for why others view him the way they do. May Allah (s.w.t) bless him with health, and reward him for everything.

I don’t know…I’m wary of him and his maslak. Too many terrorists coming out of Tableeghi mosques and madrasahs in Dewsbury, UK.
He’s charismatic in his own way. I sometimes feel he’s a bit of a yes man sometimes… but i’m not super-knowledgable abt Islam so.. anyway that’s just the “vibe” i get from watching his different lectures and sittings. All that aside… may Allah reward him for all the good he does.
Re: Maulana Tariq Jameel, can someone aware me on him?
He is inspirational and his speeches/dars are very motivating. He is understanding towards the issues/challenges faced by today’s generation and tries to being them towards the right path by highlighting the benefits and rewards of the hereafter. I never heard that he bashes anyone because they are not on the right path. May ALLAH reward him for his work.
Re: Maulana Tariq Jameel, can someone aware me on him?
If his words motivate you to do good and inspire love for Allah (SWT) and RasoolAllah (SAW) then listen to his teachings.
I would not advise him to be appointed as your spiritual guide as I do not see the elements necessary in him that warrant that level of fellowship. Most people are not willing to become devoted to anything these days out of their sense of self-choice and freedom - so on that basis he is quite harmless, and may be beneficial inshaAllah.
Cautionary aspects of the Jamaat:
Jamaat has been criticised about its treatment of women
Stories given are embellished or made-up to generate a spiritual state - without telling you that this is being done
Suffer from not enough high level scholarship and allow laymen to give speeches and teach - this backfired with Junaid Jamshed.
There are personal cautions too - but the details of which should only be to the extent of saying that “he would not be good for your sulook” if that is what you are looking for.
Re: Maulana Tariq Jameel, can someone aware me on him?
Peace teggy bro
I notice that he is apolitical … so the media in Pakistan have no use for him, which gives him relatively no opponent. His talks are generally emotional stimuli and he seems to focus on “guilt” of our carelessness and aspiration for Jannah.
I got speaking to a security guard (from Pakistan) in my new place in the middle-east
and after that discussion the security guard said … “you are definitely from tableeghi jamaat” - and I said … well no … but what got me is that people have a perception that non-aggressive Islam is tableeghi Islam. They view both Barelvis and Ahl-al-Hadith as aggressive due to the verbal wars they have. Most if not all sufi groups in Pakistan are non-academic - and the phenomenon known as Minhaj-ul-Qur’an is a pseudo-sufic, pseudo-barelvi, pseudo-academic and political manifestation with plenty of bite and activism. This is what the Pakistanis like about M. Tariq Jameel - He does not fit the angry maulvi mould. He is a sombre maulvi. The shi’a have their ulema who cry and shout … but M. Tariq Jameel softly weeps … And that seems to tick the boxes for the Pakistani audience.
