I think maturity becomes much less based upon gender as we get older. Little girls do indeed learn faster but only until age 3 to 5. After that, it becomes very individual and much less gender-based.

Think about it. From what I've seen, at college-grad age, most guys are ready to take on responsibility and are looking to settle down. Too many of the gals at this age though, are more looking for good shopping, big careers which they arent really capable of, rich boyfriends/rishtas and good times. I think at a certain point the guys overtake the gals in the maturity dept.

First time, I am agreeing with you on something. Looks like an educated and well rounded reply :)
