I’m looking to buy a new mattress. I don’t know what to look for when going to buy, other than comfort level. Any suggestions?
Re: Mattresses
Wut kinda comfort you r looking for for?
you should be more elaborate like .. either you like hard mattresses or soft or springy etc.?
Re: Mattresses
I'm looking for something on the hard side. My back tends to start hurting when the bed is too soft and springy.
Re: Mattresses
Try Molty Foam - Made in Gujranwala
Re: Mattresses
Go to those mattress stores in the malls where they adjust the firmness/softness according your comfort level. I think they are air mattresses. Not sure though.
Re: Mattresses
Femme Fatale do you mean those Select Comfort sleep number beds where the bed can be adjusted on each side? I haven't gone to the Select Comfort store yet, but plan on checking it out. I have heard that the sleep number beds are more expensive the regular mattresses.
Re: Mattresses
Funguy--thanks for the suggestion, but I will need something within the next couple of weeks.
Re: Mattresses
Yes CB those are the ones. They are expensive but if thats what it takes for a good night's sleep then I guess its worth it.
Re: Mattresses
^^That is true.
So far I've liked the Serta Perfect sleeper and its around $2000, but I think Select Comfort is right around that range too.
I'm not sure if this is reasonable or not for a mattress. I tested a lot that were under a $1000, but they weren't as comfortable. I'm willing to pay more now, if the mattress will last longer.
Re: Mattresses
how about you pay a visit to a mattress or furniture store and test the mattresses by laying on them and ask for the recommendations from the sales reps as well..try visiting few stores to get an idea on the brand you are leaning towards.
Re: Mattresses
Qrius--good idea. I have been to two places so far, and after lying down on most of the mattresses in the store, I liked a few. I'll try asking sales reps next time. The places I went to before, they were pushing me to buy, which made me run out faster.
Re: Mattresses
I tell you the secret of choosing the best mattress. The biggest recommendation and suggestion in mattress buying is to buy one that helps keep your posture straight i.e. not more than 1.5 inch of bend. PLUS it should feel good and comfortable when you lay down on it, that is the plush/top layer thing that comes after the posture position.
