matter&energy

Assalam o alaikum
Islam says man is made of “mitti”(dust), angels of “Noor”(light) and jinns of “aag”(fire).
Well i just thought could it not mean that Man is made up of “Matter” angels of some form of light or electromagnetic radiation and jinns also of infrared rays or some type of electromagnetic radiation. I mean Quran or Holy Prophet could not have told his followers that Angels are some form of E.M. wave as they would not have understood.
Scientifically matter is energy so if life is possible in matter why not in energy too. The people 1400 years ago did not know this fact. We do and this has led me to this thought. Islam uses such language that is understandable people of all ages. So we should try to interpret Islam teachings in light of modern knowledge.
What do you people think?

^
and u, o great scientist, have never heard that light too is a form of energy????
or that fire is also light????

and what if these theories r proven wrong tomorrow????
what then????
or do u wish to be 'correcting' on God's part????

Quran mentioned a nation called Irem, and no one had ever heard of these ppl....
so scholars tried to give definition of this by whatever they had, these cud be a part of Aad, they might be so and so ppl....
and now, in an excavation some templates r discovered in some civilization, and they have the mention of Irem too, and it is believed that the ppl of the excavated site had trade with this Irem nation....

now we might know better....
but u cant still be sure that u r right....
tomorrow another excavation might lead to some other story....
and as often u change these stories, u change ur beliefs....

My dear friend!
when did i say that i am 100% right. i am suggesting a possiblity (a hypothesis!) and a possibilty may or may not be true until tested and proved time and again. Even the laws of Newton have been proved wrong in modern scientific situations.
The point i am trying to express is that Islamic teachings have a science behind them. Many scientific things which we consider anti-islamic have been proved Islamic. For further information you may read Professor Ahmed Rafique Akhtar's lectures on Science and Islam. He is currently working on a scientific interpretation of Quran (Jazak al Allah.)
Dear friend,
many things change , including certain beliefs from time to time. People 500 years ago believed that Earth was the centre of Universe. We, now believe something else. You can never be certain of the truth. All i wrote was a thought, which is certainly not against Islam. Infact islam promotes such line of action. Should we not be among who the Quran termed as those who think.

i agree with armughal...plus, i would just like to add a few things...

human mind and science (for that reason) can never be able to understand 1% of the knowledge or logic behind Allah's creations...

let me give a small example...consider a child who from the day of birth is kept in a room and not allowed to go out in the open....after 15 years, if u take him out in the open and tell him about the sky, he will not be able to understand what is a sky...simply coz his knowledge is restricted...

similarly, man can only understand what Allah has given us knowledge for...

ha ha! this funnie~! one felow say eletro magnet etc! how beleef? what allah telled electro in quron? then why bulb coming only edison (not place but person)?

Hmmm...Who knows...Good observations though...
