Here's a pic I found of matha patti. The super heavy, layered necklace & stuff is too overboard for my style, but she has a broad forehead so the matha patti works I think. Pretty bride.

oh i love love mattha pattis! theyre so pretty and make a girl look more feminine lol. love them.
the photos alveena kashif posted are awesome, the last one though, the bride looks like she’s got a monster hand or something, the combination of the dark mehndi and her long red nails

i love matha pathis..But i have a round face and big forehead..Would i be able to pull it off..I remember reading SGC's comment somewhere in this forum abt how matha pathis arnt really a thing for round faces :S

I love it but I think you have to have the right face shape.,,like I have a roundish face and it wouldn't look that nice I suppose...

Anybody has pictures of unique looking matha-patti (not your typical desi type that hangs in the center)? I would rather not wear anyting on my head/forehead but if they insist I do, it ain’t going to be typical (I have never liked teeka/bindi/mathapatti) . I may go for something like the following and make it a little bit more fancy/desi:

Plus, I don’t want it to ruin the dupatta look. I am not going to wear a nose-ring either. I want something light and simple. Of course, I am not really going to try to pull off the coin headpiece but like I said, I can see myself wearing it because of the style.

Any ideas or pictures?

just came across an interesting one today, you now how the trend is red bridals with emerald jewelry? this girl chose blue and i think it was a good color choice, not crazy about the design but blue looks nice with red.
