I dont’ consider myself materialistic in teh sense that I know theres bigger and better things out there than a big house or nice car or whatever. There’s a whole life full of nothing but luxury after this and we have to strive and overcome hardships to achieve it; i firmly believe that you can’ thave 100 % of this world and 100 % of hte afterworld, sacrifices have to be made if you want one or the other. I know that there’s more to a person than their paycheck or bank account and those things r secondary when it comes to choosing a life partner or making close tie with friends.
I visited my bro and his wife in florida and mashallah tehy have a nice place; but it just made me feel really uneasy because i found mysefl getting used to the idea of big houses with more room than you really need, credit card shopping sprees and being driven around everywhere. It’s nice not worrying about bills and stuff, having all your needs met, but on the other hand I think, I’m really spoiled and immature and if i keep going like this, who knows how ill be as I get older; I dont want to raise spoiled bratty ABCD kids like myself. I think when you worry abt practical stuff like goign to school or paying bills, you tend to grow up faster because you’re not as vailay or faarigh to overthink such thigns as “am i immature and materialistic and spoiled?”. I know abt all the sacrifices my parents made for me and are making for me now, but yet i can’t seem to stop complaining or having an attitude with them; i hate it
