Materialistic Greed

Re: Materialistic Greed

I love this part of your post… That is what I feel (sadly) Pakistan is turning into slowly.

And what?? @Mirch Bhai is depressed?? About what??

Re: Materialistic Greed

If gay sex is materialistic greed, it would be fair to say so is homophobia?

Re: Materialistic Greed

^^ Im not homo ‘phobic’. There are all kinds of crazy people responsible for their own actions & beliefs. But I surely dislike.

Secondly, I was talking about ‘INDULGENCE’ in the ‘wrong’ trends. I did make that clear in my first post. But then again the definition of ‘wrong’ varies from person to person. You may have a completely opposite set of ‘wrongs’ & ‘rights’

Re: Materialistic Greed

So how would you define INDULGENCE in ‘wrong’ trends? any examples?
and what specific trend did you notice in local cafe’s among youth that makes you think people have generally become greedy?

Re: Materialistic Greed

Are you someone working for this website to generate more readership by asking posters questions which they already have answered. Take 2-3 mins of your time to read my posts in this thread, I have already stated what you’ve asked.

Re: Materialistic Greed

If you were talking about food, money, sex, alcohol, extramarital affairs as referred in your post then they have always been there. Instead I would say the opposite, people have become more conservative (generally) and yes that means actual number of people doing these things has decreased (a very small change maybe) but the perception portrayed by fundamentalism is that nothing happens here, but behind the curtains if you know where to look, you will find everything.
Previously in sixties to late seventies there were open bars, night clubs, where everything went on. Now this happens in private parties. The mode may have changed but indulgence level remains the same.

Re: Materialistic Greed

Fair enough.

I too am against INDULGENCE in wrong trends. One of which is gay bashing. My set of “rights” include EQUAL rights for ALL. Regardless of race RELIGION or orientation. I am sure you believe in equality for ALL. Regardless of your personal beliefs.

Re: Materialistic Greed

crabman, I didnt know the indulgence was so open before. But I think the level has risen actually. I did not exist in 60s & 70s so maybe it’s the same compared to that time but how I saw Pakistan & Pakistani people during my childhood and during short visits while growing up, I see a significant change in terms of ‘indulgence’ + perversion.

Southie, happy gaying!!!

Re: Materialistic Greed

What does that even mean?
