I live in Dubai and am not very familiar with the shadi fashion in Pakistan these days. I have heard there is trend of making bridal gold jewelery sets for the day of shadi n valima with beads of matching color as that of the wedding lehenga/ gharara.
I am not ok with buying two gold sets with colored beads and reserving them only for those particular colour suits.
I have an idea of wearing artificial jhoomer and teeka on my shadi n valima day as I won’t be making these of gold as I will not be wearning these again. But I do not want to wear artificial sets on my shadi n valima.
Is that ok if I buy gold sets with multi-colour beads and wearing it on shadi lehenga (even if the lehenga does not contain all the colours as that of the gold set beads).
Am confused and therefore delaying the shopping of my gold jewllery. Should I buy my wedding clothes first?
u can buy costume jewelry for ur baraat & walima, and use that amount of gold to make party sets, nice bracelets or earings to go with ur sari.
artificial jewelry looks as god as the gold one, only that is costs less :)
if u think multicolor jewelry will look nice with ur lehenga go for it. but u can always have the beads matched to ur lehnga and then change the beads afterwards
you can have artificial bridal jewellery in any shape , size and colour you want.
I too don't prefer much beads in gold jewellery rather I got mine made in pure gold and no beads at all.
yep , you should buy your wedding out fits first , you can do the jewellery shopping even a month before your wedding but shaadi and valima outfits should be taken care of before you buy your bridal sets.
Where are you getting married? If in Pakistan, my cousin's baraat and walima were 2 days apart and she went to her jeweller and asked him to change the beads on her jewellery to match each of her outfits. The actual jarao was a neutral shade, but the hanging beads were specific colours to match each day's outfits.
If you have a trustworthy jeweller, you can pick your colours beforehand and have him do this - it does not take them very long - but like I said, the jeweller needs to trustworthy and capable of completing the job in such a short period of time.

but in that case u'll have the SAME jewelry both days, which wont look good at all.
go for two different sets
Thanks guys for all the great ideas... I think I will put matching colored beads on my gold set and then will change the beads to make it multi colour beads set. My mom is strictly against the idea of wearing artificial on wedding day as she says 'apni shadi k din bhi gold na pehna tau kia faida'... besides that security is not an issue in Dubai.

.
good idea..i was also thinking same..i dont like plain gold set...if som one p ost pic off gold set with multi colours
the second pic is not very clear but I know this is a multi-color beads set with beads in red, green, blue and black colour… it went well with the red sharara on the shadi day and still could be used with other colour dresses
